Before creating a listing, learn as much as possible about the product you want to sell. The more products you sell, the more you can expand your catalog. Diverse offerings can also increase customer loyalty.
What to consider
Is your exact product already sold on Amazon? You can stand out from the competition by promoting your listings with Sponsored Products.
Is your product new? Expand your business by offering customers unique products that other sellers don't have.
Do you have the right documentation? Before adding a new product to the Amazon catalog, take care of registration and gating.
How to get started
From Seller Central (sign-on required), click on the Inventory tab and choose Add a Product.
If your product is not proprietary, search for it by UPC code (often the barcode), product name, brand, manufacturer, or part number. If you have it, the UPC code is the fastest and most reliable way to identify your product.
Choose the correct item from the list of results (to check, you can click to see all product details).
Once you have confirmed that the item is correct, click on Sell yours and fill out your details. This includes your Seller SKU, item condition, price, and the quantity you have on hand (ready to ship to customers). Then click Save and Finish. This item should now be listed on your inventory page.
If you didn't find your exact product, use a different search term. If it still doesn't appear, click Create a new product listing.
When listing a new product, you're responsible for choosing the product category and adding a UPC code, title, description, and product images.
