How it works

1. Create your campaign

Your first step is to set your ad campaign's budget and end date, or choose to run it continuously. We recommend continuously running campaigns to keep your products top of mind for shoppers.

Next, decide whether you want to use automatic targeting, where Amazon targets your ads to all relevant customer searches based on your product information, or manual targeting, which lets you select keywords yourself. We recommend you start with automatic targeting to see what customers are searching for related to your products. You can download a report of the keywords that resulted in clicks on your ads.

Pick the products you want to advertise and set your bids. Then you're ready to launch your campaign.

2. Shoppers see your ad

Based on relevance and bid, ads are shown to customers with matching search terms. Ads appear in high-visibility spots like page one of search results and product detail pages. When shoppers click on your ad, they’re taken to your product detail page.

3. Measure success

Use Sponsored Products reports to see for yourself the return you get for each dollar spent. These insights will help you measure performance and optimize your ad spend.

Amazon Sponsored Products operates on a cost-per-click, auction-based pricing model. You bid the maximum amount that you are willing to pay when a shopper clicks an ad for your product. The more competitive your bid is, the higher the chances that your ad will be displayed when it matches an Amazon shopper’s search.

By default, advertising costs are deducted directly from your Amazon seller account balance. You're only charged when your ad receives clicks.

 

* Terms and Conditions of the Amazon Sponsored Products $50 Click Credit Promotion. For Amazon sellers that register for a new Amazon Sponsored Products account from July 1st, 2017, through September 30th, 2017, Amazon will apply a promotional credit of $50 to that advertiser's Sponsored Products account. Any unused promotional credit will expire the earlier of 60 days after the advertiser’s launch of their first Sponsored Products campaign or October 31st, 2017.

  1. Advertisers must maintain a Sponsored Products account in good standing with Amazon, subject to the terms of the Amazon Services Business Solutions Agreement.
  2. Advertisers must provide a valid payment method to receive the promotional credit.
  3. This offer and the promotional credit are non-transferable, not for resale, and not redeemable for cash.
  4. This offer is void where prohibited and in the event of fraud, mistake or any failure to satisfy any terms of the offer.
  5. Amazon reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to terminate or modify this offer at any time.
  6. Limit one promotional credit per Sponsored Products account.
